Bodog LATAM Brand Changes Its Name to Ignition Poker
The Bodog brand will be phased out in Latin America as the operation transitions to Ignition. Users will keep existing login details, funds and settings, while payment methods remain unchanged. A refreshed interface and launch promotions are expected.

The Bodog name will disappear from the Latin American online gaming market this week, following a decision by the brand owner not to renew its licensing arrangements with operators in the region. From 18 February 2026, the business will continue under the Ignition banner.
The move closes a significant chapter for Bodog in Latin America, where the brand has operated for many years. It’s simply a name change — everything else carries on as before.
Accounts, Funds and Access to Remain Intact
Players have been informed that their accounts will transfer automatically to the new Ignition website. Here is what remains unchanged:
Player accounts
Account balances
Usernames and passwords
Transaction history
Payment methods
Existing limits
Ongoing promotions
All account data will transfer directly to Ignition Poker without requiring new registration. However, players will need to download and install updated software carrying the new brand identity. Active games and funds will not be interrupted during the migration.
Same Network, Same Traffic
Despite the branding change, the underlying network infrastructure will stay the same. Shared tables with other skins on the network will continue to operate, ensuring liquidity and traffic levels are not affected.
Ignition Poker Latam will serve customers across Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, El Salvador and Venezuela.
Refreshed Look and Launch Promotions
Ignition Poker is expected to introduce a redesigned interface along with launch-focused promotions. Early announcements suggest improvements in visual design and software performance, while maintaining access to the same shared player pool.
Because the poker room will continue operating within the same network infrastructure, traffic levels are not expected to decline. Shared tables with other skins in the network will remain available, preserving liquidity across cash games and tournaments.
Why the Change Is Happening
Bodog started out in the late ’90s, when Calvin Ayre decided to build an online gambling business long before it became mainstream. In the early 2000s, as more players moved online, the brand picked up speed. What began with sports gradually expanded into casino games and poker, and for many years the Bodog name was simply part of the landscape.
The change in Latin America is another sign that the company is stepping away from that identity in certain parts of the world. The logo will disappear from the tables, but the games themselves are not going anywhere. Ignition Poker will run on the same network, with the same shared tables and familiar flow of players — just under a different name.
