GKL April Casino Sales Rise 11% on Strong Table Game Growth
GKL reported higher April casino sales driven by strong table games, while machine revenue declined and property results showed mixed performance across its Seoul and Busan venues, according to company filings.

Sales Rise as Table Games Lead Growth
April casino sales rose 11.1 percent year-on-year to KRW40.19 billion. The figure also increased 25.7 percent compared with March, showing stronger monthly momentum across operations. Growth appears closely tied to table game strength across properties.
Table game revenue reached KRW37.02 billion in April. It rose 12.7 percent year-on-year and climbed 30.2 percent from March. Machine revenue moved lower, falling 4.6 percent year-on-year to KRW3.16 billion.
The mix suggests table games remain the main driver — while machines lose ground. Nevertheless, overall activity stayed positive across the business.
Casino Drop Signals Stronger Spending Activity
Casino drop increased 20.5 percent year-on-year to KRW346.67 billion. This reflects the total value of chips exchanged by players. It is often used to track real gaming activity across casinos.
Higher drop levels suggest stronger spending momentum during April. It may also indicate better engagement across table game floors.
Property Results Show Clear Split
Seoul Gangnam remained the top-performing venue in April. It generated KRW23.88 billion in casino sales, up 39.9 percent year-on-year. Monthly growth reached 58.8 percent, showing strong momentum. Busan Lotte also recorded gains, rising 12.3 percent year-on-year to KRW6.23 billion. Monthly growth reached 28.9 percent, supported by higher visitor flow.
However, Seoul Dragon City weakened. Revenue fell 25.6 percent year-on-year to KRW10.08 billion. It also dropped 6.8 percent from March, pointing to softer demand.
Key property movements in April:
Seoul Gangnam — strong growth, up 39.9% yearly
Busan Lotte — steady rise, up 12.3% yearly
Seoul Dragon City — decline, down 25.6% yearly
First Four Months Show Modest Growth
From January to April, total casino sales reached KRW146.84 billion. This marked a 1.7 percent year-on-year increase. Table games delivered KRW133.30 billion during this period. Machine games rose 15.6 percent year-on-year to KRW13.54 billion. However, their overall share remains smaller compared with table operations.
Hence, growth appears stable but uneven across segments. Table games continue to support the core revenue base.
Outlook Remains Balanced But Uneven
GKL’s April results show a stable but mixed picture. Table games drive growth, while machines remain under pressure. Property results also vary sharply across locations. Seoul Gangnam continues to anchor performance — while Seoul Dragon City lags behind. Busan Lotte provides moderate support to overall results.
Subsequently, future trends may depend on sustained table demand and travel activity. The company enters the next period with steady but uneven signals.
