Yggdrasil Backs Different Studio Brands

YGG Champions™ is a new house-of-brands program created by Yggdrasil. It should provide studios an opportunity to develop without losing their individuality. The company feels that there are different kinds of players who have various play styles. For this reason, Yggdrasil would prefer studios to develop their own brand rather than operating under a unified banner.

How the New Program Works

Every studio maintains their own tone and style with YGG Champions™. Teams have the flexibility to choose their games, themes, and player experiences. Meanwhile, Yggdrasil is offering its behind-the-scenes support. This encompasses financial support, production assistance, market access and technology assistance.

The model is a blend of creativity and business assistance. Yggdrasil then takes care of other important aspects, letting studios concentrate on game production.

Three Studios Join the Launch

The new program starts with three studios:

  • Suits & Royals

  • Slightly Edgy

  • Fish & Chips

Each studio has its own audience and creative focus. Their games may look very different from one another. This approach could help operators offer more game choices. It may also give players access to a wider range of content.

Game in a Box™ Provides the Foundation

The studios will use Yggdrasil's Game in a Box™ tool. The system gives developers the technology needed to build games. This allows teams to spend more time on design and gameplay. They can focus on creating better experiences for players.

The tool provides a shared foundation — while each studio keeps control of its creative work. Nevertheless, every studio remains responsible for its own game ideas and direction.

Part of a Bigger Growth Plan

Tomasz Kowalik, Managing and Product Director at Yggdrasil, said strong brands are built around clear audiences and clear identities. He said the new program helps studios follow their own vision while benefiting from Yggdrasil's technology, publishing support, and distribution network.

His comments show the main goal of YGG Champions™ — helping studios grow without losing their identity. The launch is another step in Yggdrasil's wider growth strategy. The company hopes the model will create new opportunities and bring more game experiences to operators and players worldwide.
