Gamdom crypto-casino offered five figures a month to every fighter in the UFC roster for signing a sponsorship deal. The company believes that athletes should be better compensated for all the blood, sweat, and tears they shed for the sport. Gamdom genuinely wants to reward fighters with additional income for training, supporting their families, and future victories.

However, the offer is aimed at individual fighters rather than the UFC itself. It does not confirm an official partnership with the organisation or mean that Gamdom advertising will appear at UFC events.

Dana White Missed a Jab?

Amid Sean Strickland’s boycott over unfair UFC pay, industry experts have already hinted that Gamdom’s move is a sucker punch to the UFC chief’s contractual policy.

Nevertheless, the owner of Gamdom – Felix Romer – has issued a public statement on X, assuring the community and stakeholders that his initiative should not be interpreted as criticism of the UFC’s business model or its contractual arrangements.

Romer acknowledged the investment and risks involved in building the organisation, expressing respect for the brand Dana White has established and the opportunities he offers fighters.

According to Romer, the sponsorship programme reflects Gamdom’s confidence in UFC athletes and its intention to provide them with additional financial backing. Although the full terms of the sponsorship programme have yet to be disclosed, a famous American coach — Tim Welch — said that several MMA fighters have already penned the agreement.

Get Your Own House in Order First

While Gamdom is actively expanding its brand presence through high-profile sports ambassadors and esports partnerships, the casino is still grappling with the aftermath of an unprecedented cyberattack that resulted in the theft of funds from hot wallets.
