Playtech, a prominent developer of gambling software, has announced a new partnership with the North American gaming giant FanDuel. This new agreement, aimed at the Canadian market, will involve Playtech providing live casino content for FanDuel’s Canadian platform to enhance its local offerings.

FanDuel will benefit from an influx of players to its platform as they engage with Playtech’s state-of-the-art products.

Playtech will use its live casino studio in Riga, Latvia, to deliver games to FanDuel. The studio has been thoughtfully designed to cater to the specific needs of Canadian players.

For Playtech, this partnership will help expand its presence in Canada, aligning with its broader strategy to grow its footprint in North America.

The company has been steadily expanding its global operations, recently introducing new game studios such as Adventures Beyond Wonderland and Big Bad Wolf.

This agreement with FanDuel follows closely on the heels of Playtech’s significant deal with Adjarabet, marking its entry into the Armenian and Georgian markets. Canadian players will soon have the opportunity to enjoy top-tier live casino content.

George Voyatzis, Playtech’s VP of Commercial, expressed his enthusiasm about this partnership and described it as an “exciting moment” for Playtech’s expansion in North America. He looks forward to delivering their Live Casino games to FanDuel users in Ontario.

Dale Hooper, General Manager of FanDuel Canada, also commented on the agreement. He highlighted the FanDuel Live Casino studio’s understanding of Canadian players’ needs and its commitment to exceeding their expectations.

In recent news, FanDuel, the North American gaming giant, introduced two new features to enhance its basketball offerings, thanks to a partnership with the National Basketball Association. These features include The Pulse and NBA League Pass.

Additionally, FanDuel expanded its sports betting app to Kentucky in September, capitalizing on the state’s newly launched sports betting market.

The history of Playtech traces back to Estonia. Founded in 1999 by Israeli businessman Teddy Sagi in Tartu, the company initially entered the scene by developing casino software products and delving into the multimedia industry.

By 2001, Playtech had launched its first casino software product, which garnered significant success, propelling the company into a prominent position among global online gambling developers.

In the mid-2000s, the company expanded by acquiring businesses specialized in online poker, bingo and lottery.

Currently headquartered on the Isle of Man, Playtech boasts a workforce of over 5,000 employees spanning 13 different countries. It has established a reputation for creating some of the world’s finest gambling games.
