Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas has announced a radical overhaul of its rewards program, which is bound to delight all who pass through its vast gaming space.

With Dreamscape Companies assuming control from Ceasars Entertainment for casino operations, this has come with a big shake-up.

Casino players can climb the ladder of the newly formed tiered system. Starting with Rouge, this will pass through Azul and Gold and end with Platinum status, which the most loyal gamblers can attain.

In terms of the points system, Rio Rewards will allocate points as follows:

    • Video poker and most table games will earn guests one point for every $10 wagered.
    • 3:2 Blackjack will grant guests one point for every $30 wagered.
    • For every 100 Rio points amassed, visitors can get $1 resort credit or $1 in free play “foreplay”.

Not only that, but Rio Rewards members will also be able to accrue points for every $1 spent on dining, entertainment, and shopping, so there is plenty to play for.

Rio’s chief gaming officer, Kevin Sweet, has approved the sparkling new rewards program.

In a statement, he said: “The introduction of Rio Rewards marks a vital milestone now that Dreamscape has officially taken over operations of the resort.

“We created a rewards program that would appeal to locals and visitors. Compared to other loyalty programs around town, we are confident that Rio Rewards will stand alone at the top of what is given back to the guest in rewards and comps.”

Since Dreamscape Companies took over casino operations in 2019, they have tried to steer Rio in a new direction.

Moreover, Dreamscape Companies is well-spent, and earlier this year, they supposedly raised $ 850 million, and much of that will go towards renovating Rio.

This is a brave new era for Rio, but by the sounds of things, the loyalty program could be very competitive and bring in a swathe of players through the doors in the future.
