Caesars Holds Grand Opening for First Casino in Nebraska

Harrah’s Columbus, NE Racing & Casino, marking Caesars Entertainment’s inaugural venture in Nebraska, recently celebrated its grand opening with a series of festivities.

The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, special giveaways, and commemorative Harrah’s shirts distributed to the first guests. Attendees had the opportunity to make historical first spins on the slot machines, place wagers at table games, and make inaugural bets at the Caesars Race & Sportsbook.

Notably, at 10:14 AM, a guest won the first jackpot of $1,876 on the Power Push slot machine.

Todd Connelly, Regional President of Caesars Entertainment, expressed his pride in the opening of Harrah’s Columbus, NE Racing & Casino, highlighting the brand’s nationwide iconic status. He talked about the joy of partnering with local friends and the community and anticipated a bright future for the property in Nebraska.

The newly inaugurated casino features:

• A 17,000-square-foot gaming area, including 400 slot machines and 11 table games.

• The Caesars Race & Sportsbook spanning 2,100 square feet, with 17 viewing screens and a 163-inch video wall.

• The first-ever Caesars Sportsbook in Nebraska accepting sports wagers.

Dining and accommodations include:

• The award-winning restaurant Brew Brothers, founded by the Carano family in 1995.

• The Wishbones bar, adding variety to the culinary offerings.

• A Marriott Fairfield Inn and Towneplace Suites under construction, set to connect directly to the casino later this year.

Additional attractions:

• A one-mile racetrack, the longest in Nebraska, developed in collaboration with Columbus Exposition and Racing.

• Fifteen live races scheduled from August 16 to September 15, including an additional Labor Day race.

• Grandstand seating for all ages, with 21+ in-person and kiosk betting.
