We all understand what inspired the developers of the Go High Olympus slot. Olympus and the Greek gods is already a standard theme, and everyone is trying to do something unique and new. However, on the new side, Ruby Play made a bold move by making the once menacing and powerful gods funny, cartoonish, and even cute.

As for the gameplay, I have nothing new to say: it's a classic 5x4 grid with a decent set of features and a high level of implementation. The Go High feature is worth special attention, but more on that below.

Symbols

Go High Olympus has a bunch of low and high-paying symbols. Standard letter symbols represent the first category, and the second depicts the faces of the ancient gods and goddesses of Olympus.

Speaking of unique symbols, there are three of them: Wild, Scatter and Coins. The third Go High Olympus symbol is the reason for instant winnings, and their value depends on the players’ bet.

The list of features is quite extensive and boosts gameplay quite well. Examples include bonus games, bonus symbols, buy features, free spins, free spins multiplier, scatter symbols, and wilds. However, the most interesting, in my opinion, are two functions:

• Bonus Game — during the base game, 3 or more Scatter symbols trigger free games. Winnings from scatters are added to payouts from any other winning combinations. When free games are activated, spin the wheel to determine how many free games (5 to 15) will be active and what line multiplier (x2 to x20) will be active.

• Go high — during the Bonus Round, if 4 or more bonus symbols land on the grid, they will remain and activate the Go High feature. If 1 or more prize symbols land on an open row, they retain their positions, and the number of re-spins increases to 3.

Like in most online slots, you can only get the maximum winnings thanks to the Bonus Round. And the Go High feature increases your chances of winning the maximum jackpot.

The maximum win, namely x1,000 of your bet, is $50,000. Jackpots are divided into 5 types, ranging from Mini to Go High Olympus (yes, the name of the game and the maximum jackpot have the same name). To give you an honest Go High Olympus review, I personally tested the game. I used demo mode, so everything here is identical to the original version. And that's how it all went.

I started gambling with $1,000 of free credits that the demo mode provided. I set the bet size for the first 50 rounds to $5. The slot’s hit frequency was about 23-31%, which is pretty good. But the winnings were not as big as I wanted.

On round 77, I received my first Bonus Feature and 8 free spins. Moreover, while gambling, I even activated Go High and received 9 re-spins, which boosted my winnings.

As a result, my maximum win was $213.50, which allowed me to reach the starting line of my bankroll. The next 23 rounds were mixed but still allowed me to add +$10 to my final balance ($1010). I didn’t buy the bonus round because, initially, my strategy wasn’t designed for it, but I'm happy with the result.
