If there were a hall of fame for slots that rejected almost all mechanics except one to become as minimalistic as possible, this slot would definitely be in the top 5. The Madame Destiny slot machine is literally the embodiment of minimalism. There is one core mechanic around which the entire gameplay is built, and the lion's share of all winnings is earned. 

The slot is quite old, but I prefer to say old-school, launched back in 2018. However, it feels like a slot from the early 2000s, with graphics bordering on primitive style. The game features a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 10 paylines. 

The slot is easy to understand, but unfortunately, it will not be able to entertain you as much as modern slots with a vast pool of mechanics can.

Symbols

The Madame Destiny symbols are as simple as the mechanics. There are only a few expensive symbols and a list of classic symbols from A to 9. There are also two unique symbols — the Scatter in the form of a magic ball and the Wild, which depicts Madame Fortune herself:

In general, all winnings here revolve around bonus rounds. This means that they are easier to hit, as there are no other full-fledged Madame Destiny features. I managed to hit it three times, and the second time I hit it before even finishing the first 15 free spins. But I will start with Wild.

Expanding Wilds — the Wild symbol expands to cover entire reels when part of a win, re-spinning to potentially create more wins. Wild is present on 2, 3, 4 and 5 reels. And all winning combinations that contain at least one substituting Wild are multiplied by 2x.

Free Spins — landing 3 or more Scatters awards 15 Free Spins. Landing additional Scatters during this round adds 15 extra spins. This is the main winning feature in the slot. All Free Spins wins are multiplied by 3.

Mystery Symbols — Randomly appear and transform into matching symbols or Wilds, adding unpredictability and win potential. And all winning combos that contain at least one Wild are multiplied by 2x. As you can see, all the winning potential lies in the Free Spins, and all the derivative features are included in the bonus round. I can say that it is not difficult to trigger it. I got my first such round on the 11th spin.

The whole focus of the gameplay is on triggering free spins. The developers cut out the excess but tweaked the winning potential.

The game does give you a chance to win big, but in return, it pays with monotonous gameplay and a lack of cool features. It relies solely on you playing, winning, and playing again in a loop. So keep that in mind if you want a fascinating slot, this one is not among them.

It's hard to say anything about strategy in a slot that doesn't provide for it. But I have one piece of advice: play the first 100 spins at $2 each. Your goal at this point is to win as many bonus rounds as possible, and a smaller bet helps with that because it prolongs your playing session. Once you're up by $150-200, you can raise your bet. But don't let your balance drop. As soon as it drops to $100, stop playing and take a break. The slot is available at any time, but the tilt from losing can cloud your mind.

I'll start with my impressions of the base game. It's frankly boring. The slot seems to have come straight out of 2003, and it feels that way, too. The only thing that breaks it up is the bonus rounds. However, they are not much more interesting than the main game. The game focuses on winning, not on music or visuals (which are pretty average here). So, here's how my game went. I played at a stake of $2, and on the 11th spin, I hit a bonus round, in which I hit another bonus round. Then, on spin 50, I was able to hit it again. And in general, all my significant winnings came from there. I finished the game with almost $300 in my balance.
