Partnership linked to major industry shows

The partnership will appear at ICE Barcelona, iGB Affiliate Barcelona, and iGB L!VE London. These events bring together operators, suppliers, and regulators from many regions. Safer gambling messages will sit beside business talks — a contrast that often draws notice.

Clarion Gaming said GamblePause will take part in discussions and awareness activity. This places the charity inside core event conversations. It is not limited to logos or banners.

GamblePause and its work in Africa

GamblePause is an independent social organization working across Africa. Its focus is reducing gambling harm through education and prevention. It also provides direct support to users and families.

According to shared figures, GamblePause reached more than 5,500 people. This came through workshops, community sessions, and digital campaigns.

The organization also supported around 3,000 individuals through one-to-one sessions. These meetings focus on early guidance and practical help. GamblePause says it uses proven methods — based on research and field work.

Clarion Gaming’s message behind the move

Clarion Gaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter welcomed the partnership. He praised GamblePause’s reach and experience. Hunter said the charity will join key conversations at Clarion events.

That role suggests deeper involvement than promotion alone. It places responsibility inside business discussions. Clarion also pointed to its wider safer gambling efforts.

The company says it was the first gambling events organizer to create an annual safer gambling partnership. Such statements matter as oversight of the industry increases.

What GamblePause gains from the deal

For GamblePause, the partnership offers access to global audiences. Founder Ladipo Abiose Akolade said the deal strengthens trust. He also said it allows direct contact with industry leaders.

This access may help projects grow faster. Akolade said the group plans to expand awareness campaigns and education programs. It also aims to improve rehabilitation pathways across Africa.

Part of a broader responsibility effort

The announcement follows other responsibility moves by Clarion Gaming. ICE Barcelona recently named GameCheck as its headline SGZ sponsor. Together, these steps suggest a planned effort — not a single gesture.

Key aims highlighted by the partnership include:

  • Expanding gambling harm awareness across African communities

  • Supporting education for operators, regulators, and players

  • Promoting prevention tools for vulnerable groups

Nevertheless, the focus will shift to results. The real test will be lasting impact — not short-term attention.
