My Summary & Rating of 9 Burning Stars™

Despite my general dislike of games with 3x3 grids and minimal special features, I did have a good time spinning the reels of 9 Burning Stars. The graphics are good, and gameplay is enjoyable. I didn’t like how often the slot froze on me – requiring multiple reloads of it while creating this review. That did cause the angst in me to rise! I loved the sun collection and Hold the Jackpot features, though. I found them quite thrilling overall and they really complement the general game theme and setup. I think it’s worth playing 9 Burning Stars if you have a good enough bankroll to cater to it.

  • Thrilling Hold the Jackpot bonus round

  • Capability to customise the volatility rate

  • Comes with a theoretical RTP rate of 96.14%

  • Maximum win is just 1,500x your stake

  • Only has a single bonus feature included

  • Game can freeze at random moments

According to my test and analyze I give a rating of 100 rating out of 100.

Game Review policy

Play the 9 Burning Stars slot machine from Wazdan today to experience a unique and inviting title. The game comes with a 3x3 grid to play on, yet each of the nine positions operate as independent reels. Wazdan has incorporated stunning visuals into this slot, which appears to take place on the surface of the sun. And with a maximum win of 1,500x your bet, plus an RTP rate of 96.14%, 9 Burning Stars holds plenty of appeal.

Accompanying the standard game features is a fascinating jackpot round, while the developer has also included an extensive betting range into the slot, too. What’s more, you have the chance to customise the volatility level of the slot before spinning the reels.

Get Ready to Burn Some Stars in This Wazdan Release

What stands out the most to you about an online slot? If it’s the graphics and general gameplay, then 9 Burning Stars is likely to appeal. There are 9 positions on the grid that spin independently of one another. You form wins in the game by spinning at least five identical symbols into view anywhere on the grid. That’s quite a unique scenario, especially in a game with a 3x3 setup.

I recommend that you play 9 Burning Stars in demo mode before using real money. In both cases, you’ll need to select an appropriate bet for your bankroll. Running across the bottom of the slot interface is a wide range of betting values, starting at $0.20 per spin. The maximum you can choose at the other end of the scale is $10,000 per spin. It’s also prominent to note that you can choose the speed of the reel spins with the button above the autoplay function.

Forming Wins with Simple Symbols

Wazdan hasn’t included anything extremely thematic into 9 Burning Stars where the symbols are concerned. Playing card symbols starting at 9 and running through to A represent the first additions. Joining them are a star and a number 7, with the latter providing the highest standard payouts in the game.

Burning Through the Specials to Reach a Jackpot Payout

A couple of special feature exist in this slot, starting with the gamble round. Whenever you create a win, this becomes available. Choosing to play it requires you to guess the colour of the gemstone to double your payout.

Hold the Jackpot Bonus

As you play 9 Burning Stars, you’ll see that additional symbols appear on the reels. These are burning suns with numbers on them. This is then saved on the Bonus Matrix, found at the top-right side of the game screen. Once this is filled, the Hold the Jackpot bonus round activates.

All saved sun symbols accumulate into one value and appears on the central reel during the feature. You then get 3 respins, and if further suns land, they stick and reset the respins counter to 3. Mini, Minor and Major jackpot symbols can also land and do the same thing. These also award the corresponding jackpot to you.

The Mystery symbol can transform into any other bonus symbol during this round, too. The Jackpot Mystery symbol transforms into one of the three jackpot symbols.

This round comes to an end once all positions are filled or the respins counter runs down to zero. Covering all 9 positions with bonus symbols awards you the Grand Jackpot of 1,500x your bet.

Technical Details of 9 Burning Stars by Wazdan

It’s difficult to highlight the volatility level of this online slot, because you can set it yourself. Using the button with the chillis on it, you can choose a low, average or high volatility. So, make sure to set it to a level suitable for your bankroll.

The game does come with an RTP rate of 96.14%, which sits nicely above the video slot average of 96%. The 1,500x jackpot available in the slot is the highest prize possible. That’s quite low when compared with many other slots, although it does work nicely in this game, I think. I wanted to know more about the hit rate of the slot too, so I conducted my own experiment for it.

The Result of My 100 Demo Spins Experiment

Hit rate explains how often a game provides wins. To find this out about the 9 Burning Stars slot, I played 100 demo spins with a starting balance of $100,000 and wagers of $10 per spin. I achieved my first win on the 6th spin and then another on the 26th. Altogether, I experienced 16 wins out of 100 spins, equating to a 16% hit rate.

I did manage to trigger the Hold the Jackpot bonus on two occasions – first on my 48th spin and second on my 84th spin. The first time I won $230 and the second time $550. By the end of the experiment, I had a final balance of $99,986.
